Yes, scalp micro pigmentation is a highly popular and safe procedure with few risks or side effects. The pigment used is completely safe and hypoallergenic, and the needles used are sterile and disposable.
The results of the scalp micropigmentation are semi-permanent, which means that they will last for several years before gradually fading. You can get touch-ups as needed to maintain your results.
The cost of treatment varies depending on the size of the area and the extent of treatment needed. Please get in touch with us for a complimentary consultation and no-obligation quote!
As it is a tattoo, there may be some mild discomfort during the treatment. However, the majority of our clients do not consider it to be painful, and there is very litle to no pain or discomfort after the treatment has been performed. We have even had people so relaxed during the treatment that they fall asleep! If you are worried about experiencing pain during the treatment, a topical anaesthetic can be used to numb the area being treated.
There are very few risks and/or side effects associated with SMP. In rare cases, some people may experience minor swelling, bruising, or itching around the treated area. These effects are temporary and will resolve on their own within a few days of your treatment.
It is important to stop taking any blood thinning medications prior to your treatment (where possible) and avoid drinking alcohol for the 48 hours before your treatment to reduce this risk.
The SMP treatment takes on average around 3 hours per session. However, this will be dependent on the size of the area being treated and the extent of treatment.
This is the best part - the results are vivible immediately! As the pigment settles into the skin, the results will gradually improve over the 4-8 weeks following your treatment.
High & Tight Men's Care prides themselves on providing realistic and natural-looking results. Apart from you and us, no one else will know that you've had the treatment, and we won't tell!
SMP can provide beneficial results to almost anyone suffering from hair loss due to male pattern baldness or alopecia, individuals with thinning hair, recessing hairlines, or bald spots or patches caused by scarring. However, it is not suitable for everyone. Please schedule a consult to discuss your hair concerns with us, and we can let you know if SMP treatment would be beneficial to you! SMP is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Your consult will be one-on-one with our SMP expert, Juan. He will discuss your concerns with you, and help create a treatment plan to provide the best results. You will be walked through what to expect from the entire process, and provided with all information you need to know to prep for your appointment, and what to do post-treatment.
It's important to avoid sun exposure for the two weeks prior to your appointment, as this can affect the results. Avoid drinking alcohol for 48 hours before your treatment to minimise the risk of side effects such as bruising. During your consult you will be given specific instructions on what you need to do to prepare for your treatment.
